At AutumnBridge Hospice, the comfort of our patients always comes first. We consider our patients' comfort in every decision we make. It's so important to us, that we're now emphasizing it with our Comfort1st service focus.

Comfort1st features key areas in which we have designed our services to ensure the highest level of comfort for our patients.

• We visit our patients an average of 6-7 times a week - 30% higher than the national average. By visiting more often, we can identify new symptoms and provide a quicker response.
 
• We handle after-hours calls in person rather than over the phone. By handling patient and family needs in person, we can offer a higher level of service to ensure our patients' comfort 24 hours a day.

• We increase the frequency of visits when a patient reaches the final stages of life. Visiting more frequently enables us to provide optimal comfort at the end of life.

• We go above and beyond the Medicare benefit by offering massage therapy and pet therapy. Massage provides pain and anxiety relief, while pet therapy offers an emotional boost. Through these programs, we can address patients' physical and emotional comfort.

• We have a dedicated weekend nurse with over 11 years of hospice experience to make sure our patients are comfortable during the weekend.

• We contract with a 24-hour pharmacy and equipment company, so our patients do not have to wait for pain medications or new equipment after normal business hours.
