Who Is Eligible For Hospice Care?
Individuals with a terminal illness are eligible for hospice when their primary-care physician and our hospice medical director certifies a prognosis of approximately six months to live. Patients and their loved ones must be willing to shift goals of treatment from curative to palliative therapies, with a focus on emotional and spiritual care, and comfort.
