Massage Therapy Vital to Patients' Comfort
AutumnBridge Hospice's massage therapy program is a key component of our Comfort1st service focus. Our massage therapist Amy Sharp provides massage for our patients and their family caregivers.

Massage offers several benefits to hospice patients. A study published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management found that massage:

• Reduces pain by 52%

• Reduces anxiety by 53%

• Improves peacefulness by 52%

Amy sees this firsthand. She says, "After massage, our patients are more comfortable and more peaceful - it truly makes a difference."

Massage is also beneficial to our patients' caregivers. "Massage provides stress relief and relaxation for family members who are providing care for their loved ones," Amy says.

AutumnBridge Hospice has offered massage therapy for more than seven years. Massage is not only important to our comfort philosophy, but also has become a vital part of our plan of care.
